The NCES Kids' Zone. Developed specifically for kids to provide them with information about schools; decide on a college; engage in several games, quizzes and skill building about math, probability, graphing, and mathematicians. Create a Graph is used in classrooms across the country.
Weaving a Secure Web Around Education. A guide written to provide guidance to local and state education agencies about the development, maintenance, and standardization of effective websites. It describes relevant publishing and content standards for websites at various levels within the education environment.
Safeguarding Your Technology. Developed specifically for educational administrators at the building, campus, district, system, and state levels. Its purpose was to serve as a framework to help administrators better understand why and how to effectively secure their organization's information, software, and computer and networking equipment.
Technology @ Your Fingertips. Provided assistance to individuals in education organizations who wanted to learn more about what it takes to develop the best possible technology solution for their organization. It identifies the steps needed to determine technology needs and to implement a solution for today and tomorrow.
Higher Ed Data 101 - In this podcast episode, Armand Alacbay, Vice President of Trustee and Legislative Affairs at ACTA, and Jerry Malitz look at how federal education data can be used to understand your school’s performance relative to peers.
Connecting to the Future. Co-produced with NASA's Education Division this product included a hands-on guide, powerpoint slides, and an accompanying video. They were developed because of the increasing importance of networks and networked information in providing students with an up-to-date, well-rounded education. .
SPEEDE/ExPRESS. This video presented several scenarios showing the benefits of transmitting student records electronically across district lines and to postsecondary institutions through the adoption of a standard format. The standard itself was developed by representatives of elementary/secondary and postsecondary education.
